The Duro-Last Difference

Duro-Last flagship membrane is a proprietary thermoplastic formulation that provides exceptional flexibility and reflectivity. Available in 40, 50, and 60 mil thickness, the Duro-Last membrane can be custom-fabricated to meet the exact specifications of the building. With the custom-fabricated Duro-Last Roofing System, up to 85% of seams can be completed in our factory-controlled environment, dramatically reducing rooftop labor and the potential for leaks. Additionally, the Duro-Last membrane features an 18 x 14 weft-insertion anti-wicking scrim, providing superior strength and puncture resistance.

Why Duro-Last PVC Membrane?

In addition to the labor savings offered by the custom-fabricated Duro-Last membrane, our highly reflective roofing systems provide excellent energy-saving opportunities. Additionally, Duro-Last’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices and products ensures that the environmental impact of a Duro-Last Roofing System is minimal, from production through the end of its useful life.

Growing Demand For Cooling Technology

Cooling is now the fastest growing use of energy in buildings, and ACs and electric fans already account for about 10% of all global electricity consumption. This is one of the most critical blind spots in the energy world today — by 2050, cooling demand could more than triple. While greater access to much needed cooling services is a good thing, it places a major strain on our energy infrastructure.

Duro-Last’s flagship Bright White Membrane provides up to 88% reflectivity.

Enhancing the overall reflective properties of the building and driving down energy consumption – making Duro-Last the ideal cool roof option. With a total solar emittance of up to 87%, the Duro-Last membrane also releases energy and heat efficiently.

Duro-Last can be installed in a variety of methods:

  • Duro-Bond® Induction Welding: A non-penetrating technology that bonds the membrane to a specialty-coated fastening plate.
  • Adhered: Duro-Last offers several adhesive options for applying the roof membrane to the deck surface.
  • Mechanical Attachment: Fasteners and plates are used to securely attach sections of membrane to the roof deck.

Precision-Fabricated Accessories:

The Duro-Last Membrane also features its own complete line of compatible custom-fabricated flashings, skirted edge metal made by EXCEPTIONAL® Metals, and other roofing system components. Custom-fabricated flashings are manufactured with Duro-Last membrane material and feature a weft-inserted scrim that provides puncture and tear resistance along with tensile strength at transitions – the most critical areas of any roof installation.

Comprehensive Warranty Coverage:

Unique in the industry, Duro-Last offers a 15-Year Supreme Warranty with consequential damage coverage for commercial applications of the Duro-Last Roofing System. Additional Supreme warranties, as well as our Basic, Ultra, and Residential warranties are also available. Hail and high-wind warranties can also be obtained for Duro-Last installations.
